Business Accountant

The first type of business owner is characterised by fear. They don’t know where they’re going or if they’ll be able to withstand the next storm. They do the same thing year in, year out and hope for the best.
The second business owner is usually calm. Yes, they’re also likely to encounter difficulties. But they don’t fear the difficulties because they’re well prepared. They understand their business back to front and have a team that know their position in the business and what they need to do. They spend more time fine tuning their business rather than performing the required work.
Which business owner are you? The good news is that we can help you become the second type.
Compliance & Tax
We often get asked if we provide the following services:
- Accounts Preparation
- Accounting Software Setup, Configuration & Adjustment
- Bookkeeping
- Payroll
- Structure Advice
- Tax (Income, GST/BAS, Fringe Benefits, Capital Gains)
The answer is yes, we do. But the truth is, there’s a lot of mediocre accountants out there will do an ok job of all of this. This will keep the ATO happy, but it often won’t be enough to ensure that you’re in control of where your business is headed.
If you want to start to take the reins of your business, you should also consider the following additional services:
- Budgeting
- Monthly/Quarterly Reviews
- Tax Planning

To really take your business to the next level, it’s worth taking a look at our strategic planning services. No other accountants out there can offer these insights.

Strategic Planning
The World Rally Championship (WRC) is a car race in which drivers compete in a series of time trials across varied terrain. These races usually involve perilous routes travelled at high speeds.
One easily overlooked detail is that every driver competing in the race also has a co-driver sitting in the passenger seat. The main job of the co-driver is to look at the map of the current route and let the driver know what’s coming up. This allows the driver to confidently approach blind corners at speed because they know what to expect on the other side.
WRC drivers, by their own admission, wouldn’t even consider starting a stage without a co-driver. This is because they know the value of having someone they can trust actively working with them to get them to the finish line safely and efficiently.
In a lot of ways business is pretty similar to the WRC. There are many dangers and opportunities that exist for a business owner which are easy to miss, especially when they’re focused on driving the business. Without someone alerting them to what’s around the corner it’s quite easily to miss something important. Yet, it’s crazy how many business owners choose to do it solo.
